celebrating Kong Kong's Birthday along with Eloisa, Nevada and other foreign exchangers and friends, to your very last day hanging out in my backyard with your best friend Orba, as you would call him,and Lauren, Kylie, and myself.
It has been a great experience getting to know such a wonderful fellow like you and I hope you had the best taste of the American Dream that you can get.
This year was the first year I actually took the time to really get to know the foreign exchange students well and join the club. Mo is one of the first foreigners I took the time to get to know and I'm very glad I did. In fact, a month ago I attended Prom with Mo and was placed in a group that was evenly split between foreign exchange students and American students.
Meeting foreigners and getting to know them was a wonderful experience and it definitely introduced me to a different perspective of life and culture that I wasn't familiar with. One of the reasons why I wanted to blog about Mo was because one of Dr. Preston's main themes are to be thirsty for learning. For me, learning about new cultures and from different perspectives interests me daily. It is one thing that ignites the little world explorer in me. Like for example, I bet you didn't know that after every meal(and I mean every) Brazilians have they brush their teeth? Now maybe some of you actually DO brush your teeth after every meal, but let us be realistic here, for most it's an unusual thing to do. Anyways, for anyone who is reading this I encourage you to meet the upcoming foreigners in the next school year. You never know what may and can happen!(A friend of mine is actually dating a foreigner and both are visiting each other through out the year which is super adorbs.)
Mo you will be dearly missed by everyone!
Signing off with peace, love, and happiness,
Miranda.
